Sure Power: 24V 100A Battery Separator - Uni-Directional - (Part#: 1318)

The 1318 is a 100A battery separator module with an integrated relay for 28V systems-the 1318 is unidirectional (One Charge Source). The 1318 monitors only the main battery and charges the auxiliary battery if the main battery is above the connect threshold. The connect threshold is set to a nominal voltage of 26.8V, which would only be reached when the charging system is operational. This will cause the relay to only close when the charging system is operational, charging both banks of batteries. The disconnect voltage is set to a nominal 25.7V, which is near the full charge resting voltage of the batteries. This will cause the relay to be opened shortly after the engine is stopped, attempting to preserve 100% of the starting battery capacity for engine cranking.

A delay function has been incorporated in the control circuit to prevent the Battery Separator from reacting to momentary voltage fluctuations and chattering.

SIMPLE INSTALLATION:
Connects to primary battery, auxiliary battery and ground. Absolutely no system modifications are necessary.

MULTIPLE BATTERY CHARGING:
The battery separator allows multiple batteries to be charged from one charging source (usually, but not necessarily, an alternator). When the batteries are not being charged, the Battery Separator separates or isolates the batteries.

PRIORITIZED CHARGING:
The Battery Separator waits until the batteries connected to the active charging source reaches approximately 26.8 Volts before paralleling and charging the remaining batteries. The system disconnects at approximately 25.7 Volts.
