The ceramic type "Torpedo" shaped fuses can be currently found in many European vehicles. They consist of a heat resistant body, and uses a fuse element that stretches over the exterior of the body from end to end. The bodies of these type of fuses varies in color to assist in proper replacment and identification. The Ceramic tube fuses come with nickel-plated brass encaps and have a large range of voltage and amperage ratings, dependant upon which fuse you choose. The old "new" style of tube fuses and heavier duty then it's predescessors, the Ceramic body allows for higher amp/volt rating combinations.
