Insta~Tap Connectors are the quickest way to make a "splice" in a wire. With the metal piece upon the wire, you close the flap and it will force the metal piece down, into the wire(s) and it will cut the insulation and connect the two wires via the metal. Some dislike these for the way connection is made, as well as it being a connection, relying on a plastic latch. However others may swear by their effectiveness. just one of many pieces that are more of a preference of the user, either way; they have been long standing as a connection within the electrical world.
